Insert a new row banner doesn't disappear after clicking the Save Changes button

Hey, I have a question about the legacy table, when I clicked + to insert a new row, and clicked the Save Changes button to save it, the query ran successfully, the the new row banner doesn't disappear, I checked the resetAfterSave is true.
Can anyone help me fix this issue? Thanks

Hi @Amy_Zhou! Welcome to the community. :slightly_smiling_face:

This is definitely a bug! I haven't pinpointed the exact update that broke the expected behavior, but the banner closes as expected on older versions of Retool.

Given the fact that the component is technically deprecated, this likely won't be a high priority issue for our engineering team. Is there a particular reason you're still using the legacy version? I definitely recommend upgrading to using the newer version, if possible!

Hey @Darren Thanks for your response!

The reason we're still using the legacy version is that it was built a long time ago, and there doesn’t seem to be an automated way to upgrade the tables. We also don’t have the bandwidth to manually build new tables one by one.

As for the upgrade process, is rebuilding the tables the only option? There isn’t a simple button to upgrade everything automatically, correct?

That's as valid a reason as any! Unfortunately, the table settings can't be directly mapped from the legacy version and the upgrade process does have to be manual, as a result. There is a guide here that goes over some of the key differences between the two versions of the component.

Given the fact that this is a clear regression in behavior, there's still a chance that it gets fixed. I've reported the issue to our team and will keep you updated if there's any action!
