How actively maintained it the RPC project and what to expect in the future?

Hi,

we're a small company providing engineering services and thought about implementing Retool as a frontend to our python software using RPC.

Having read about some problems with using RPC as a resource (e.g. here and here, the fact that there have been very few new contributions to the Retool RPC client packages Github repo in the last 2 years and that the RPC feature is still listed as beta, I was wondering how actively the RPC project is maintained and if further development/improvements can be expected in the near future? And/or are there good alternatives to RPC I'm not aware of?

Thanks in advance!

Wondering the same!

Hi folks,

For what it's worth, we use RPC for some of our internal processes here at Retool :slightly_smiling_face:

I'm not aware of any major RPC engineering projects this quarter, but, as with all Retool features, we still triage bugs & feature requests if they come up throughout the quarter. If you have specific requests or feedback, please let us know
