I am looking for someone to help me build a tool to put data from via HL7 from an anesthesia monitor into an postgres SQL database. This is for veterinary use.
Does anyone have any advice or where to get started?

I'm assuming that HL7 refers to Health Level Seven; "a set of international standards for transfer of clinical and administrative data between software applications used by various healthcare providers. These standards focus on the application layer, which is "layer 7" in the OSI model. Wikipedia".
If so, can you elaborate a tad more on what data you have where, today? It looks like HL7 is a messaging standard.
