Goal: This is for a Sales Reporting Dashboard that includes a lot of the new Chart components.
Problem: Chart components do not appear unless I move to a different tab and move back. See video (this uses simulated data):
Steps: I checked all of the components in the component tree and the charts still exist there inside the containers where they are supposed to be, they just do not appear unless I move to a different tab and move back.
Other Details:
This has worked in the last few days, just this afternoon it suddenly did not appear.
I'm using new chart components - specifically Mixed, Funnel and Pie Charts. This is also in a multi-page app.
There is a container with a list component that changes based on selected team. That list component contains charts and those also do not appear / I cannot make appear.
Is the sales reporting dashboard part of a template or did you fully build it?
That is very odd that you were able to select the charts that are not appearing from the left side panel that lists out the components. Can you share a screenshot of that from the editor view?
If you can export the app with some simple dummy data I can test it out. As well as if you have any steps to reproduce this with a simple app I can do more testing as well.
You mentioned it has worked the last few days, has it disappeared again recently or has it been appearing as expected?
Thanks for reaching out, @audreyanne96! I'm taking over this particular topic and, while it has been a bit more than a day, I'd still like to make sure this gets resolved. Are you still seeing this behavior? If so, it would be super helpful to get a JSON export of your app that includes hard coded query results.
The other thing that might be helpful is to know whether you see any console errors, either in Retool or in the browser, whenever your charts fail to load.
Hi both - Apologies for the delay in this response.
This was somehow resolved the following day, so I'm no longer seeing it. Everything is working as intended now.
However, to clarify, everything in debug was fine and queries ran as intended and expected when I loaded the app. When I looked at the component tree, it was also all there. It simply was just not appearing in the container.
I'm glad to hear that everything went back to normal! I'll keep an eye out for the potential cause, but let us know if you notice anything similar in the future.
