Just curious if there were any plans for an official Retool MCP Server. I wouldnt mind using VS Code w Copilot to create custom components.... especially if the Retool docs could get embeded to help w code generation specifically for Retools environments and sandboxes.
Would anybody be interested if a public guthub repo popped up? I can host the server also if it gets more people curious =)... idk, a community hosted MCP server so others can add nifty tools could see some unexpected stuff (for the better, hopefully )
I recently got into custom components myself and was about to create my first repository to make it available for people. It would be great to see this in a more structure way.
1st we get teased with half the secret to riches then my FR is granted magically the same day it's made, obv coincidently but I'll take the win, only to be left poking around in the dark like a kid searching the closet on Christmas eve
There is a lot of potential for Retool MCP. It might be a product strategy related question for Retool to think about whether releasing something like this.
