Editor Syncing Disconnected Issue in Retool

Hi Retool Support Team,

My goal:
To edit and save changes to my Retool app without interruption.

Issue:
I am seeing the error:
“Editor syncing disconnected. Your connection was closed. Please refresh for others to see your changes.”
This happens while editing the app and prevents changes from syncing properly.

Steps I've taken to troubleshoot:

  • Confirmed no other users are editing the same app/page

  • Checked across multiple devices and browsers

  • Ensured stable internet connection

  • Verified no duplicate sessions are active

  • Tried refreshing the page, but the issue still occurs

Hello there @rajappscrip-byte, thanks for the detailed report! This sounds like it could be related to a known issue with Retool's multiplayer editor sync, when the underlying WebSocket connection drops silently, the editor appears functional but changes aren't being saved, which is why a refresh reverts your work.
