Datetime field is not dynamic like it used to be

Hey guys,

We really like using the Datetime field in our tables to convert times from databases to the user local time that depends on the browser.

I currently calculate the offset string like "-05:00" using a transformer (because I think that is easier on retool than using a query or variable), click on the Manage Time Zone option, and the Value to that offset, and finally set the Display to local time.

The feature was working for months. Now it seems like changing that value doesn't do anything. Maybe something changed?

Thanks, Retool team!

Hey @redhat00 Thank you for reporting this unexpected change! I'm seeing the same issue on my end and have alerted our engineering team. I'll keep you updated here as we work towards a fix.

Hey @redhat00 Can you share when you first noticed this change and when it was last confirmed to be working?

It was definitely working before they deployed multipage apps.

I am sure it was working in March.

Any word on this?

The issue is impacting our payroll process and other accounting jobs.

Hey @redhat00 - Monday's release should include this fix and we'll confirm as such when that goes out! :+1:

You guys are awesome!

This now works as expected on Cloud version 3.188.0! Let us know once you're able to confirm that everything is back to normal. :+1:

Its working the same way it used to for all of my teams apps. Thank you guys.

(Is there a way to turn off the lax comma warning so I can write my JavaScript with prefix commas and not get yelled at?)

You guys are amazing. Thanks!

I don't think there's any support for tweaking the linter, but that's a great idea! Glad to hear that you're unblocked here. :+1:
