Custom auth is broken, please revert whatever changes were made today

None of our users can authenticate to resources (in our cases graphql APIs), which means all of Retool is unusable. We have made no changes in the past 72 hours.

Details:

  • Graphql API resources that use custom auth
  • Our users click an "Auth Login" component to authenticate to the resources
  • The first step in our custom auth is a Modal. So normally when users click the "Auth Login" component, a modal pops up and they click a button with in that modal to complete the auth steps. With this breaking change, after the user clicks the "Auth Login" component, no modal shows.

Hey @aviator22 - welcome back to the community and thanks for reaching out. :+1:

I'm looking at our server logs and don't see any authentication errors for your org over the last 45 minutes or so. It also looks like all GraphQL queries are going through, as expected. Can you confirm this on your end?

I also appreciate the feedback and will make sure that the team sees it.

@Darren that's because, according to the audit logs, none of the auth requests are occurring.

When clicking on the "Auth Login" component, no modal shows as it normally does.

Hey @aviator22 I've been able to reproduce what you're seeing and have flagged it to our on-call engineers. I'll keep you updated as we work towards a fix. Thank you for flagging this to us here!

Hi @aviator22 We've identified the issue, are working to release a fix ASAP and will notify you as soon as that's live.

@aviator22 Our engineering team has put out a fix and I've separately confirmed that the Auth Login component is working again. On the off chance your users are still facing any issues, please let us know!
