Connectivity issue for outbound region Singapore

  • Goal: Create an Open API resource with outbound region in Singapore

  • Steps:

  1. Created a resource (Open API) - same setup works with us-west-2 (Oregon, US) and eu-central-1 (Frankfurt, Germany)
  2. In advanced section clicked - Override default outbound Retool region
  3. Set ap-southeast-1 (Asia Pacific, Singapore)
  4. Clicked Test Connection

Hi Retool Team,

I saw this new SG outbound region option on the Resource setting.

However, when I try using that, all network calls fail.
Is it currently still a work in progress on Retool side?
If so, would like to know when it is expected to launch (if there's a release date planned already :wink: )

Since my Backend server is located in Asia, having this option is something I really looking forward to. Currently I encounter significant network latency by using US / EU option.

This outbound region is currently not ready for use. I'm sorry the option was available for selection on the UI, it was a mistake on our end. We are currently running tests to ensure everything will work as expected on the new region. Although we currently do not have an estimate on the release date, we'll keep you updated on the forum! Keep an eye on our Announcements section. :slightly_smiling_face:
