I don't have anything particularly meaningful to share, @Brad_Fontanese, but have updated our internal tracking system in order to reflect your interest in this feature. 
To @WidleStudioLLP's point, you can absolutely build a custom component that satisfies your needs. I don't always love recommending this solution as it requires a bit of technical literacy, but it's worth pursuing if you're interested in building something that is highly customizable.
Alternatively, the only pseudo-workaround I can think of is custom CSS - which I also don't like recommending because it's not necessarily the most durable solution:
