Hey everyone! I’m Miguel, and for this Champion Session, we’re going to stop talking about AI hype and actually build an AI Agent that works for you.

We’ve all been there: you find a dream vacation spot or a cool ski resort online, but then the "work" begins—checking prices, looking for family-friendly activities, and figuring out travel logistics.

I’ll show you how I built a system where I simply click "Capture" on a website, and a Retool-powered agent goes to work—researching the location, checking it against my family's specific needs, and emailing me a full itinerary.

What we’ll build together:

In just 30 minutes, we will wire up a full "Research-to-Inbox" pipeline:

  • The Trigger: Use a Chrome Extension to "scroll and capture" any webpage (no code needed!).
  • The Vision: Using OpenAI OCR to turn a raw screenshot into structured data.
  • The Brain: Setting up a Retool AI Agent with custom instructions (e.g., "I travel with two young kids and prefer trains").
  • The Tools: Giving your agent the ability to search the live web and extract page content.
  • The Delivery: Automating a formatted email summary with your research results.

What you’ll get:

:white_check_mark: A working AI Agent that can browse the web for you
:white_check_mark: The "Screenshot-to-Workflow" Chrome extension setup
:white_check_mark: A blueprint for handling Base64 images and structured JSON outputs
:white_check_mark: Live Q&A and a few "pro-tips" on bypassing common workflow bugs

Why this is a game-changer

Most people use AI as a chatbot. We’re going to use it as an Agent. Instead of you copy-pasting text, the Agent takes an image, understands what it's looking at, searches the internet for reviews and pricing, and sends you the final result.

Once you learn this pattern, you can use it for anything: competitor research, bug reporting, or even automated expense tracking.

It is also worth linking to this other tutorial on how to parse and analyze all types of files in a workflow. This can help you implementing other use cases where zip files, pdfs, excel files are involved in what you're sending to your workflow.

@Snehal_Parate - you can now see the video in the main post above! Let us know what you think and if you have any questions, share them here
