I have using the app themes and it is pretty awesome. I am able to make some pretty interesting UI’s as you can see below. Using a combination of the App Theme editor and dynamically setting properties of components which I read from a database lets me get quite a bit of customization for my team. They can simply change the setting with a single select.
I am missing the following to really complete the customization:
a) There is no way to use the App Theme' editors “Metrics” to create complex metrics like you can with shadows. For instance borders would be nice to have a variety of complex borders/thicknesses. For example I might just want a bottom border on a control
b) Sidebars and Headers don’t have enough customization. In the app theme editor, they don’t even show up as an option to customize. For the Properties for them, I would love to set a border (a complex one would be even better) and a shadow.
c) Modals/drawers don’t have any representation in the app theme editor either, but I was able to use the properties on them to get what I wanted.
d) Would love to have gradient options in the colors
Thank you for the work on the theme customization, though, overall I was really pleased with how it worked.
