Workflow Nested Loop Connectors

I think it would be really nice to have a connector off the loop block in Workflows that would allow for a nested loop (or multiple nested loops). This would be really handy for quickly eliminating the need to use multiple workflows and their responses, which is incredibly cumbersome and can be slow.

Thanks for your consideration

Thanks for your feedback! I've added a +1 to this request internally.

I came across this while looking into Workflows. Hopefully this is followed up on, the use case I have in mind needs a simple loop over a fairly small range of rows and with just a few operations for each loop. It would be very handy to keep the entire thing in one workflow definition rather than split it up and process each. Such a solution should ideally make it easy to reference previous blocks that executed outside the loop.

As luck would have it this has been completed. If you're on cloud is there something still causing confusion for you or could stand to be improved?

Hi @darenhunter! My name is Lizzie and I'm the PM for Workflows. We now have a solution for nested loops that is entering private beta. We would love for you to take a look! You can reach me at lizzie@retool.com with your organization information (including subdomain) and I will get this turned on for you. Thanks for the great feature request and for using Workflows!

That would be great. I got my initial use case worked out by calling a 2nd workflow, but IMO for certain other cases it’d be much easier to explain to other team members using a nested loop.

Our main domain is relias.retool.com

The space I’m currently working in is enterpriseapps.relias.retool.com
