What goes here in the specification URL - again Retool's documentation is a sausage short of a sandwich. It doesnt show anything.
Here's a screenshot of the sausageless sandwich...
it just says" configure the required settings, which is about as much help as ....
what about some real world examples and in our case we just want to access the Retool api from within Retool.. should definitely be in the documentation guys!

Agree that this documentation should be more generally thorough. To answer your question about specification URLs, they are generally provided by the API you are trying to connect to. Here is Retool's example for connecting to their own API using their specification URL (expanding the Specification area):
Hopefully they can at least link this section as an example in their example

it is the resource part - in the docs it just says. 'enter the url; whioch is really of no use whatsoever.
I goolged the answer eventually it needed this at the end of the url which is nowhere to be found oin the retool docs.
'/api/v2/spec'
To be fair, it is collapsed by default, but it is definitely found in the docs:
