It appears that whenever a Submit button is used to control a form, the Disabled property can no longer be controlled. Please see the screenshot below:

DIsabling the button can be convenient in case the form is not yet valid or when a query if currently running/fetching.

Possibly a little confusing but it is possible. You can find the Disable Submit option in the form's properties. See below.
