See It, Fix It, Ship It: Built-in Error Monitoring for Retool Apps

Hello everyone!

Super excited to share error monitoring with the world. If you haven’t tried Error Monitoring in Retool yet, now’s the time! Since rolling it out, we’ve seen customers who have it enabled experience a 15% drop in app errors—meaning fewer disruptions and smoother operations.

We’ve built native integrations with Sentry and Datadog that will allow you to track errors encountered by users of your apps in production. These errors include relevant metadata, user information and a callstack to help you debug your app.

For those who want more control, or use another observability provider, we also support triggering a workflow on app error using Retool Events. This allows you to send errors to providers other than Sentry and Datadog. You can also perform custom filtering and logic on errors if needed.

We all know how frustrating it is to debug issues in production. Whether it’s a failed query, an API timeout, or a sneaky JavaScript error, these can be hard to track down—especially across multiple apps. We built error monitoring to address those issues, so you can rest easy knowing your errors are being caught before they escalate.

If you want to learn more, you can read about it in our latest blog post or follow our docs to try it out for yourself.
