- We have a photo capture issue and this one has become a big deal in our final testing
-
In our situation we are using a Mobile App with a few core using the Retool Native, but most externals using the Mobile App from the Web Browser
-
Photo Capture is a critical part of the app
-
We have tested with the input being camera only or camera and Library with the same results
-
When the app runs within the Retool Native app all is good
-
When the app runs from a web browser, the camera app opens but is zoomed way in
-
the user is required to press the attachment icon in the bottom left, select take picture, then the camera app zooms out and gives control back to the use on the zoom level.
-
This problem add a delay and 2 taps to every photo taken even on a single imageInput that allows multiple images.
how do we get this fixed without having to have all my external users on the retool native app?
-
Did some testing based on our call. Retested and had the same results in all of the following browsers on IOS.
Chrome
Chrome Incognito
Safari
Firefox
Quiche (a stripped down browser)
Thanks for the follow-up, Mark! I should hopefully have an update for you soon.
Hey @MarkAVickers - the specific issue that you're describing here has been fixed and is just waiting to go live. We also implemented pinch-to-zoom at the same time, but I'll need to double check that this will be supported in the native mobile app, as well
