Question / Description:
Standard disclaimer - sorry if this has been asked before. I did search and didn't find any clear answers on this specific issue.
I have created a mobile app, but when I went to share it there is no tab for making it public. I see the public tab on my desktop apps, but I want to make the mobile app public. This app isn't going to be accessed through an app-store, but simply through a browser.
The simple solution here would be to convert the app from mobile to desktop and then create a mobile view (this really will only be used on mobile devices). But I don't see a way to do that either.
Any ideas?
Update:
I cloned the whole app into a desktop app with a mobile view, and that doesn't work either. The public link works on a desktop, but on a mobile device it still wants the user to sign in.
How do I make a public app that will primarily be accessed from mobile devices?
Mobile apps require logging in at this time. The idea above is the best way to go! I tested out the public url on mobile for a web app and wasn't prompted to sign in. Would you mind testing this out again? You may already know this so apologies if so, make sure your url is public by clicking the share button and then the public tab and click the copy button. It's easy to accidentally copy the regular url thinking you set it to public.
Abbey,
Thanks for getting back to me. I was actually updating this thread to tell you that it didn't work, and in the process of uploading my documentation I saw my error.
I was using /app/p/photoupload instead of /p/photoupload
This will work for now, but it would be nice if mobile app's could also have a public link. The mobile app ReTool interface is much simpler to use when that is going to be the only usage of the app.
Thanks again.

Of course! I'll put in a feature request for that. I don't think that would be something we'd roll out in the near future, but definitely something to consider for our roadmap!
