Insert Segmented Control in table

Instead of using a dropdown list, I would like to insert in a table's column a segmented control or a button group, is it possible ?

Currently, my dropdown list has 3 choices for each row: New, Validated, Refused.
I want to display this choice but with icons.

It does not look like this is currently possible, I'm going to go ahead and move this to the feature requests category so other users can chime in! :)
