Handling domestic numbers in phone number input

Continuing the discussion from New Component: Phone Number Input:

+1 for this feature! It's very common for people to submit domestic numbers to us and this component becomes awkward to use.

Thanks for the feedback! I'll share your +1 with the team. Could you share more about your use case? What country code does your app use? Would you prefer a toggle to enable auto formatting the value to domestic number format?

Thanks Tess! We're UK based, and ~95% of the time our customers will enter domestic numbers without a country code. At the moment, those numbers don't have any formatting applied to them.

Does the lock country code setting help at all?

Hey Tess, not really, the data is input by customers on a different system. We just display it to our internal users via Retool.
