I have several large Retool apps using legacy js custom components - specifically complex interactive Mapbox maps and some non-Retool charts. I have no React skills and am concerned about the long-term use of the legacy components. Is there a timeline for when their use may be disabled in future releases?

There aren't any plans to fully retire the legacy version of the custom component and, generally speaking, we won't ship changes that break existing functionality. That particular component will receive limited updates and support, but you should otherwise feel confident building with it. 
If that changes for any reason, we will be sure to communicate that fact well in advance and provide a recommended pathway for preserving that functionality.
