Bug: Module Moble View Inconsistent

I have a module with items in a container on desktop view:

In the mobile view, they are out of the container:

When the module is added to an app, the desktop view works:

But when the app is in mobile view- any items that were in the container are now gone:

I have a module with items in a modal on both desktop and mobile view:

Hey @Kade333!

It looks as though the first issue might be solved by first disabling mobile view for the components in your container and then enabling mobile view for the container followed by the components inside. When taking a look at your app I noticed the container wasn't enabled on mobile and attempting to enable it threw an error that it overlapped existing components. Disabling and enabling them like this should fix that.

The second issue you're raising looks to be a bug on our end. At the moment though, our mobile dev team's efforts are going toward the native mobile app builder mentioned here. I can't guarantee when or even if there be a fix for that particular bug since we're primarily looking to address people's needs with the new platform. Is it something you've already taken a look at?

We don't want that container to show up on the mobile view, which is why it is disabled. On desktop inside it, on mobile outside it. It works that way in the module view without any issue. When applied to an app- it no longer works.

The big issue is that the module view says it will look and act one way- but then it doesn't look and act that way when the module is applied to an app. The user shouldn't have to fiddle randomly with it to make things work outside the editor.

I have looked at the new "Native App" thing you have, and it pales in comparison to the functionality that the current system has.

The way your desktop <-> mobile thing works is great; It means only having to maintain a single app experience for both desktop and mobile users. I would hope the new "Native App" would not be replacing the current system. Forcing users to install an app instead of simply opening a link sounds like a very bad idea.
I was under the impression that the Native Apps was just another possible thing to do with the platform- not a replacement of current features.

Retool will continue to fully support the mobile view - the mistake was on my end as I mistook the recent focus for a longer-term one but the team has confirmed that the current mobile view will continue to receive attention.

Your understanding is right that the newer native mobile app builder is just another possible thing to do with the platform, addressing a different use case than the original mobile view. It's not a replacement of current features.
