Automatic Column Width Not Working Properly in Retool Table

I've been dealing with this issue for a while, but now it's really starting to get frustrating. My tables are set to have automatic column width, yet the columns are constantly cutting off text and not resizing properly (see attached image)

No matter what I do, the column width doesn't change, forcing me to zoom out,

just to see the full content. Is this a known issue, or am I missing something here? Any help or workaround would be appreciated!

Yes, automatic columns have been frustrating an the Retool team has said they will improve on them. You can read about it here and here.

The best workarounds I have found are to either set the row height to Dynamic

or add a Tooltip to display the rest of the text in a column.
