Using new HeatMap chart and want to set values range independent of passed in data

Hello,

I need some help with the HeatMap Chart. I would like to be able to set the "values" column directly rather than being required to pass an array of values only.

In my case, I have an array of objects where I have values for the X and Y axes, and another attribute would be my value... However, when I filter this array using a selection option outside the chart, the "values" range is adjusted to the highest value in this new array. This affects my gradient color range, as the chart is now considering a much smaller value as the "highest value" in the range.

Is this something that can be achieved currently?

And Can I place the X-axis at the top of the graph?

Thanks!

Hi @Victor_Prado! Welcome to the community. :slightly_smiling_face: I broke out your original post into its own topic as I think it's a good opportunity to get more feedback about a specific chart from the community as a whole.

If I understand correctly, your primary ask is for the ability to set the range associated with the color scale independently of the values that you're actually passing into the chart. I can totally see where that would be useful, especially if you are filtering the data source.

This isn't currently supported, but I'll pass that feedback on to the team and update you here as soon as I have news! Similarly, it doesn't look like there's a specific option to move the axes around. :+1:
