Very new to Retool, so bare with me!
I'm trying to select multiple components to turn them into a module so I can reuse it in several apps (for a left-pane nav menu).
When I drag to select multiple or try to command + click on multiple, it's not selecting those components the way I see it being done here.
Any reason why certain components wouldn't be 'selectable' ?

Shawn, this was a bit wonky for me using my external keyboard. Try refreshing and using command + click or even option key + click. It should work!

Yes, you should be able to drag + drop the multiple selected components, or you can select them & use arrow keys to move them:
