Is there a way of disabling the popups like below - they are extremely obstructive (literally blocking all the sorrounding text), cannot be dismissed with esc as one might expect and massively clutter up the UI right next to your cursor?
An option to disable them in user settings would be brilliant.
nope, that would be part of their code editor settings that we don't have access to. if you want to look into overwriting it w custom css you can start here i guess:
Hi @jswb, there is not a way to disable them but there is a way to quickly hide them when they are obstructing our view, just press the right key on the keyboard and then left to come back to where you were.

The esc key does work to close the predictive typing dropdown.
