Require/force app protection?

Hello,

As an engineering dept. we are trying to steer our non-dev teams who build apps in Retool to follow best practices like version control.

Is there any way to mandate that application creators use the Protection mechanism to store their apps in version control? (Perhaps preventing a run/app invocation?)

From our tests + doc reviews, it appears that this is optional once enabled, and there are no granular permissions beyond Use, Edit and Own.

I don't believe you can force that an app / all apps are put into source control. Know this isn't your ideal answer but hopefully this helps to know there's not an out-of-the-box way to set this up as you described. We'll pass this feedback to the eng team that this is a use case you're interested in being able to do in Retool!
