It would depend on the type of report you are trying to create, here is a list of all the components we have.

Ugo, I can't get the link to work but I went through the documentation on components and I could not find anything on report writing.
What I am trying to do is produce a product list. It would have a header band, then subtotal bands on the number of products in each category. Then a summary band with grand totals.
Does Retool have the tools that would allow me to produce such reports?

Retool does not have any reporting tools, that is its biggest functionality hole right now.
Others have used PDF APIs and custom components to roll their own. Search around the forums and you will get some ideas and tutorials on this.
There also might be a good javascript reporting library out there. I am going to be looking for such a thing shortly.

I have also been looking around for 3rd party tools on Report Writing.
I am looking for Cloud Reporting and I am having great difficulty with the Trial Versions for connecting to my databases. These are under cPanel with GoDaddy.
If I find anything interesting, I will let you know.
