Public link with custom url parameters

Anyone know if/how to pass custom url parameters into a public link?

My regular non public internal link looks like this link: http://retool.abc.ie/apps/Visitors/Approve%20Visitor?action=approve&approver=john%smith#ID=76

Specifically this ?action=approve&approver=John%Smith#ID=76

& just to answer my own question this is how it works - Add the custom parameters at the end of the public url with a '?'
