I recently noticed that adjusting webhook or schedule triggers don't require a deployment of the current workflow but often I manage to enact a small change (like an errant adjustment of a node) which then requires me to redeploy the workflow in order to stay sane with seeing the "Deploy" button active in the future.
If I could access the workflow's triggers without entering the canvas I wouldn't have the ability to make an unintended adjustment or experience confusion about undeployed changes.
