How can I hide the timer but have it still run?

I'm using the timer, but I don't want the user to see it (mostly because I don't want them to be able to stop it).

Is there a way to either

  1. Hide it (and have it keep running), or
  2. Get rid of the "stop" option?

You can try putting it inside a container and use the container to hide it

Thanks for the suggestion, but if you hide the container, the timer stops as well.

I'm trying a programmatic "timer" instead. I'll write back with the results.

That's poor, I didn't realise it was so fragile! Think building your own is the best option here
