Love how Retool automatically "prettifies" combinations of hyphens and greater-than / less-than characters into ligature arrows. We take advantage of this quite often.
We just discovered, though, that this does not extend to text within a button column in a table. Check out the difference between the "auto" custom column and the "button" custom column below. Ew! Same exact code creating the strings for each.
Is there a way to coerce the ligatures to happen inside the buttons?
Maybe there is no way.

Hello! The dev team is planning on rolling out the button column type for the new table over the next couple of weeks and at the moment it looks to format special characters in the same way as text columns!
