Goal:I'm trying to set up OAuth 2.0 authentication for a Zoho Book integration in my self-hosted Retool instance. The expected behavior is for the OAuth flow to complete successfully, allowing me to make authenticated requests to the Zoho Book API
In the same post i saw that workflow has been created to do api integration, since am not a much of developer, is there documentation on this integration which can help me or can someone reshare the solution if any other simpler version worked, other than creating workflow?
Apologize for how complex this process is complex as users must use a REST API resource and then manage the auth token with custom auth.
I was looking through the forum and found this post where one of our team members Ben walks a user through the process of setting up Zoho with Retool.
It looks to me much simpler than the Workflow work around that you linked which Darren was helping out on.
Going down that thread there are a could other users that have different issues related to this set up that are also addressed.
Victoria also provides a link to our docs on setting up custom auth to run the refresh flow when a new token is needed. Hopefully this helps! I am going to add a note for us to better support Zoho integrations as well.
I have tried already all of these approaches, for some reason its not working. I created workflow, did Python code block and setup code block to refresh access token .
Since you have shared the new article, i tested it. For example in your provide article step 4 is different then what I see on retool platform.
You would realize the difference in the article and in my page I see at retool. This integration would have helped alot but after spending few days just on this , I am not sure if this actually will work ever.
What actually worked is I wrote all codes in jupyter and placed them in code block after testing. I always have tough time working at retool.
If you have any further questions or solution for me ,please share. Happy to connect.
The 4th image is definitely outdated. We can look to edit/correct that with our current resource auth interface as you shared in your screen shot.
What happens when you click 'accept' in the final screen shot where you said that you got stuck? Does it give you an error message on does the accept work and then queries give you an error?
Will keep you updated on any word I hear about the feature request for a supported integration. Apologies for the inconvenience, that is good to know that you were able to execute the code from jupyter using a workflow code block.
What other parts of Retool besides Zoho are tough? I will let you know if anyone from our team has an update from the thread you linked on how to best capture the auth token and re-auth for Zoho.
