Hi team, I have a google sheet so large it hangs. I wish to move it to retool db
I understand that I have to get it as a csv first.
If I get around that, and need to enter new rows, this may not work because the fields in the google sheets have formulas in them. Can Retool provide the option of making calculated columns ?
Hey there! A couple thoughts:
- (untested) after importing your data, you could try doing a PostgreSQL generated column: PostgreSQL: Documentation: 15: 5.3. Generated Columns
- If you could calculate the values client side in your apps, you could use a JavaScript transformer to massage the results of your queries and add the extra "columns" directly to query results
- You could try using Optalitix, which ingests spreadsheets and puts APIs on top of them
