Workflow not running from webhook triggering (missing data)

I use Webhook to trigger workflow. Today there was a webhook sent, but it never shows up in workflow, as if the webhook has never being triggered.

I've observed this for a while now. Every day, there are some webhook triggered never shows up or disappear from workflow.

It seems to be a data loss in this case. I can share the exact time when webhook was triggered. Would need someone look into Retool's backend log to see whether there was some bug in Retool that prevents the workflow being triggered.

This is my workflow ID: 9af3b5d0-1986-4270-8cf7-7fafcae5fdbd
Today, between 2025-04-16T18:00:00Z to 2025-04-16T18:15:00Z, I triggered the workflow with webhook call. The call returned 200 OK status when I called. But this call never actually triggered workflow, as it never shows up in the workflow.

This is just one example. I see this issue occuring every day and becoming severe. So I captured these information to file a bug.


I see a natural step for Retool team would be looking into the log of this workflow, especially during this time period and the webhook. And share more findings from the backend.

Apologies for the issue. Thank you for sharing the workflow ID and the time, let me look into our logs (assuming your org is champhq and on cloud).

Are you able to look into the workflow run history and see any error messages or confirmation that the start trigger was hit?

I'm looking at the logs for this workflow, but I don't see any logs created during the time range you specified :thinking:

I see a workflow webhook run at 2025-04-16 18:36 and another at 2025-04-16 18:38

Have you noticed any pattern in the time of day or in the data that is being sent to the workflow when this happens?

Can you share a screenshot of how the workflow is being triggered?
