Summary Row is not properly expanding with add ons and text size in mind

  1. My goal: Display column summary appropriately in a large table

  2. Issue: The type of aggregate happening takes up vertical space for deciding where the middle of the row is, but the row does not expand with this in consideration, so the text can be off centered or even cut off depending on the size of the text.

  3. Steps I've taken to troubleshoot:N/a

  4. Additional info: (Cloud or Self-hosted, Screenshots)

Example:

Untitled-16.json (64.1 KB)

Additionally, the value represented as the sum column’s add on is simply a child of the first entry on the table’s source. If the total sum from aggregating the rows is negative, the add on would still display as positive if the first row’s value is positive. This does not change when using retool’s default table sorting.

Untitled-16 (1).json (64.1 KB)

Hey @Daniel_Fleuranvil - thanks for reaching out. The thread over here has a lot of the same feedback, which has already been passed on to the owning team. In order to keep everything organized, I'm going to close this one and continue communicating updates over there!
