The docker compose file with temporal is using a temporal image that is over a year old. Furthermore, new version of the image are already available at Docker Hub but not updated inside the docker compose file.
Will there be a new image with a newer temporal version for on-prem installations?

There generally shouldn't be a need to update the version of the Temporal image from what is specified in our templates, even if it is more than a year old. If you do want to use a newer version, it may be necessary to update some of the relevant environment variables, but should otherwise be compatible. I'll confirm that with the team that owns the feature and follow up here if they have any particular recommendations!
