How do I display photos from a Sharepoint library?

Have I missed an easy way to display photos from a sharepoint library? It looks like I might have to do a bunch of REST work?

Could you elaborate a bit on your use-case here? If you don't want to manually enter the image's URL then, yes, you would need an api to fetch that for you.

Sounds like maybe I'm overthinking it if I can just use the url.

Could be. If you need to dynamically select and show photos you still would need an API connection there but if it's only a one-off, manually setting them should do it.
