In trying to authenticate a GSuite Email via SMTP, I'm repeatedly unable to connect.
The Username and Password are correct. I'm using smtp.gmail.com and have tried Port 25, 465, or 587
Anyone make this connection work?

Hi @MattK,
I just checked the web and Gemini gave me these details for GSuite SMTP set up.
Maybe it is the URL which needs to be smtp-relay.gmail.com
?
Can you confirm that none of these steps worked for you? I am hoping there is a descriptive error to either let us know its the port number which is not working or if its the user credentials
I just set up a gmail SMTP resource and this is my settings for that.
Does your connection actually work? Even if I try the standard Gmail (not via Google Suite) connection, it fails.
Hi @MattK,
Yes my connection worked. Are you self hosted or on the cloud? If you are on an older version of Retool that could be a possible cause for the connection to fail.
There are other SMTP service providers outside of Retool that you may need to test with to see if this is Retool specific.
If you could share any screenshots or video recording of the set up that could be useful as well to see if there is anything missing. My only other guess would be a permissions issue from the Google side of things, but that should be something you would need to have configured so I am not sure that is very likely unless you have security settings.
