Feedback New (Floating) Navigator Panel Layout

I wanted to share some quick feedback on the new overlay panel that has replaced the previous layout, where panels like queries and components were stacked side by side. To be blunt: I really dislike the new approach.

Previously, it was easy to switch between multiple queries or components while editing them in a panel right next to it. Now, each time I select something, the panel closes, and I have to re-open it—breaking the flow entirely.

Is there any way to bring back the old layout?

I'm genuinely curious what drives these kinds of design decisions. Was this based on user feedback, internal experimentation, or a broader "less is more" philosophy? Because if there was one thing that really worked well, it was the ability to stack panels and keep both code and components visible at the same time.

Hi @emozio,

Apologies for the delay here! I'll check in with the design team :slightly_smiling_face:

I just want to double check which layout options to look into... It looks like we removed this app structure tab where you could switch between logic/UI/pages:

Is that what you'd like to see brought back?

That's okay, I haven't been that responsive myself, also in regard to your other posts. My apologies.

My feedback was targeted at the floating menu that didn't allow two separate panels to be shown next to one another (e.g. components en queries).

Sorry I haven't been able to make a screenshot, I am currently not involved with this project.
