Correct, an internal tool. The data out of WMS is the starting point for a tool to ease the VAT declarations in the EU, which is handled by a third party in order of the warehouse who is using the WMS.
@matth - earlier you refered to possibilities to use SFTP, can you share your thoughts which doors this would open?
I'd probably do something like @mbruijnpff mentioned earlier with python.
Maybe there are some sftp interfaces to cloud file storage that I'm not aware of. I said sftp just to get it off the local server running 3rd party software. I know in the past 3rd party vendors can be a little picky with what's additional installed on the server hosting their application. I asked that before I knew it was built in-house.
Are the orders also stored locally in the db?
