Wanted to close the loop with you here. We just shared an update on where Assist is headed: Assist beta conclusion. The short version is that we're consolidating our AI app-building efforts into the new React-based app builder, and Assist for classic apps will reach end of life on September 30, 2026. Your existing classic apps stay fully supported and editable in the drag-and-drop builder after that date.
The reason I'm pointing you there: a lot of what you flagged in this thread (unintended edits to components you asked it to leave alone, and the difficulty of catching those changes) is exactly the class of problem the new builder is designed to handle better. We believe it represents an improvement over Assist in almost every way.
That said, I'd love to hear from you directly: is there a particular capability keeping you on Assist and classic apps that's preventing you from moving over? Your feedback on the diff/review/rollback side was really thoughtful, and I want to make sure whatever you need is on our radar as you evaluate the switch. Happy to help however I can!
