Actions for selected components

Hi team,

I keep struggling when trying to select several components, copy them and paste them somewhere else. For some reason:

  • My ctrl + c is not working
  • whenever I select several components and then right click on them it drops the group and selects only the one over which i right clicked

It would be great to add option buttons on this screen:

Like, group, copy, duplicate, cut, etc.

I am not able to reproduce your issue. I am able to use wither ctrl+c or right click to copy groups of selected components, and then paste them. Is your ctrl-c working as expected in other places in the retool app and outside of retool as well? What browser are you using and are there any extensions or browser settings that could be affecting this behavior? Does this happen consistently, or intermittently?

I'm using chrome and I don't think there are any extensions impacting this.

This happens intermittently, and if I press ctrl+c several times then it works.

Hey @MiguelOrtiz,

Since it happens intermittently, and resolves after pressing ctrl+c multiple times, it sounds like it might be a temporary glitch or an issue with clipboard functionality. Can you try a different browser to see if it still happens outside of Chrome? Also, you could try updating your Chrome version or clearing your browser cache and cookies.

You might also try testing in incognito mode to see if perhaps extensions are the cause.
